“A new website, a new idea, and a whole lot of writing.”

This is the thought that keeps echoing in my head. I’ve wanted to start a professional website for a while now, and I’m finally getting around to it. The idea is to establish a professional presence on the web, and to write about things that interest me, which coincidentally are the same things I do for a living. (I guess I’m lucky there) I’m going to try to publish an article twice a week at the same times. (Mondays, and Thursdays at 6pm EST) I’ve tried writing a blog in the past, and I never updated it. Having a set schedule might help me keep this site up to date. I am saving a few entries from my old site, and moving them here. I’ll publish them according to the schedule I set for myself. I’m a lot of things. I’m a programmer, a systems administrator, a hiker, a shooter (paper targets only), but I’m not a writer. That means keeping this site up to date AND interesting, will be the first challenge I’ve had in a while. This is currently a solo project, but that makes sense, because my name is on the site, and it’s a professional resource I’m using to reference things I get involved with. Most of the entries on this site will be related to information technology, and related fields, but “professional” doesn’t have to mean “no fun.” I will occasionally write off-topic articles as well. If you’d like to learn more about me, then I suggest you visit the About Matthew page. If you’d like to get in touch with me, then the Officially Me page will help you there. The first Article will come this Thursday at 6pm EST. Stay tuned.
